Justin Parker

I was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of North Texas, the middle child in a family of five. When I was a young boy, my fathers work in the jewelry business took us to live in Banff Alberta. It was there in Canada among the roaming herds of elk, the moose strolling through town and the pristine waters of Lake Lousie, that I would fall in love with wild places. Banff and its surroundings would imprint deeply on my life and soul. After we moved back to Texas, the photographs we would look at with my grandparents and parents would bring back those experiences, it was then in those moments I realized the power of photography. When I was a teenager I would grab at any type of camera I could get my hands, I would always take a quick few snaps, or make the rounds with the camcorder (new technology at the time). I never joined any clubs or took any classes or college courses on photography, but instead I studied Hospitality Management in college. After graduation, a management job in the restaurant industry would move me to Colorado in my late twenties, where that young boy would awaken within me and those memories of Canada would flood back. Over the next 15 years in Colorado I was able to start focusing more and more on the things I loved the most, nature and nature photography. In 2015 I volunteered for the National Parks Service and was stationed at Norris Campground in Yellowstone National Park for the summer. Everyday for 5 months, I was surrounded both by natural beauty and amazing wildlife. I worked on my craft everyday I was not on duty helping campers or park rangers, and it was after that summer I decided this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Documenting amazing moments and helping to preserve the special places I photograph has become my life's passion. Over the years I have had the privilege to share my photography at group shows, art festivals, trade shows and private showings. Now I share with you here at my online gallery.

Through my prints, I invite you to bring bits of my stories into your everyday life and home. Whether its Grizzly bears in Alaska, or Maximilian Sunflowers on the Blackland Prairie of Texas each of my images is a glimpse of how I see the world. New prints are released regularly, so check back often. If you sign up for my newsletter, you will get notified about new prints, sales, and shows. if you have any questions about my images or are looking for a size not listed on my site please email me.
